How do I get to Estádio da Luz, Lisboa?

Bus routes:701, 709, 750, 754.

By train

The primary train station serving the Estádio da Luz is the São Sebastião station, which is conveniently located within a short walk of the venue. The walking distance from São Sebastião station to the Estádio da Luz is approximately 10-15 minutes, covering about 800 metres. This station is a crucial interchange point, served by the Blue Line (Linha Azul) and the Yellow Line (Linha Amarela) of the Lisboa Metro system, offering excellent connectivity throughout the city. While direct long-distance train lines from major UK cities like London, Manchester, or Birmingham do not terminate at São Sebastião, visitors arriving in Lisboa by train would typically disembark at Lisboa - Santa Apolónia or Lisboa - Oriente stations. From these main intercity terminals, they can then connect to the Metro to reach São Sebastião. Frequency for local Metro services is high, with trains running every few minutes, especially during peak hours. São Sebastião station offers ticket offices and is equipped with accessibility features.

For those attending late-night events, some routes may operate with extended hours or have night bus equivalents, though it is advisable to check the current schedules of the public transport operator, Carris, for the most up-to-date information. Journey times from the city centre typically range from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Accessibility

The Estádio da Luz is committed to providing an accessible experience for all visitors. For wheelchair users, accessible entrances are clearly marked, and lifts are available to access various seating tiers and facilities throughout the stadium. Designated accessible seating areas are strategically located to offer excellent views of the stage or pitch. Accessible toilets are available at multiple locations within the venue, equipped with the necessary space and amenities. While specific hearing loop or induction loop systems might vary depending on the event setup, information is usually available from guest services upon arrival.
