Accessibility

Everyone should be able to find a show, compare prices and set an alert on NeedATicket, however they use the web.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on every page. We last tested the whole site on 7 November 2026.

What you can expect

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline. Every page starts with a "Skip to main content" link (on a computer, after the cookie choice on your first visit); on event pages it also offers to skip straight to ticket prices, seats by section or the price alert.
  • Pages are built with headings, landmarks and labelled forms, so screen readers can move around them.
  • Price charts have a text version: each chart is described in words, and the section charts also carry a table of every price we recorded.
  • Text can be zoomed to 200% and pages reflow down to a 320px-wide screen without sideways scrolling.
  • We follow your device's settings: reduced motion turns off movement, and Windows high contrast mode keeps buttons and focus outlines visible.
  • Buttons and links are at least 24 pixels square, and most are 44.
  • Links that open a new tab say so to screen readers.
  • Price updates are announced politely to screen readers, without interrupting.

How we test

  • Automated checks with axe and Lighthouse on every type of page, at phone, tablet and desktop widths.
  • Hand checks: a keyboard-only walk through each page, the reading order screen readers get, zoom and text spacing, high contrast mode, reduced motion, and the size of every tap target.
  • New pages go through the same checks before they go live.

What we know is not yet right

  • Buying happens on StubHub. Our buttons take you to StubHub to choose seats and pay. We do not run that site and cannot change how accessible it is.
  • Event details come from sellers and the StubHub catalogue. Seat and section names are shown as listed. Ask StubHub or the venue to confirm anything you rely on.
  • Older guides under /blog/ have had automated checks but fewer hand checks than the main pages.
