XOYO opened in 2010, establishing itself within a former industrial unit beneath a larger commercial block in Shoreditch. The architectural style embraces a functional, minimalist aesthetic typical of contemporary club spaces, primarily utilising exposed concrete, steel, and industrial finishes. With a declared capacity of approximately 600 patrons, the venue is configured across two primary levels. The main room, located in the basement, features a flat, open standing floor leading to a raised stage at one end, typically hosting DJs and live acts. A dedicated DJ booth is prominent, flanked by multiple bar stations.
Sightlines within the main auditorium are generally direct due to the flat floor, though dense crowds or structural columns can intermittently obstruct views, particularly from the rear or sides during peak attendance. The ceiling is notably low, contributing to an intimate, immersive atmosphere. Acoustically, the hall operates as a sealed, sub-grade environment.
