About Tecnópolis: Layout, History & Architecture

Opened in 2011 as a sprawling public exhibition park for the Bicentennial of Argentina, Tecnópolis is an expansive complex featuring large-scale, functionalist architecture. Its design heavily leverages steel and concrete, creating vast, high-ceilinged spaces characteristic of modern industrial exhibition halls. Key performance areas within the park include the Microestadio, a substantial indoor arena, and various outdoor esplanades, which can be configured for major concerts and festivals.

The Microestadio, the primary indoor concert venue, features a large, unobstructed flat standing floor, allowing for significant crowd capacities, often accommodating up to 12,000 attendees for standing-only events. While the design prioritizes open volume, this also presents inherent acoustic challenges. The large, reflective surfaces necessitate a robust, precisely calibrated PA system to ensure sound clarity and impact. Reverberation can be a noticeable characteristic within the hall, requiring careful sound engineering. Outdoor stages, while offering potentially unlimited capacities, rely entirely on temporary infrastructure for sound and sightlines, which are subject to event-specific setups and crowd density.

The Live Experience & Current Schedule

Ingress to Tecnópolis is managed via multiple gates along its perimeter, with the primary entrance typically located on Avenida de los Constituyentes. Upon entry to event-specific zones, attendees will find functional, rather than elaborate, food and drink concessions. For events within the Microestadio, the standing floor can become quite dense, particularly for high-demand performances, offering direct proximity to the stage for those arriving early. Outdoor events provide a more open, festival-like atmosphere. With 0 live performances scheduled, upcoming entry prices start from standard pricing. The next confirmed event on the calendar is upcoming live performances on soon.
