Opened in 1966 and thoroughly renovated between 2004 and 2005, the Stadthalle Offenbach embodies mid-century modernist principles, characterised by its functional design, clean lines, and a significant use of concrete and glass in its construction. The primary performance area, known as the Großer Saal, offers a versatile layout, capable of accommodating up to 3,000 attendees for standing-room concerts or approximately 1,900 in a seated, tiered configuration. A permanent balcony level provides elevated perspectives across the main floor.

Acoustically, the hall, typical of multi-purpose venues built in its era, presents a live and somewhat reflective sound environment due to its hard surfaces. Consequently, the sonic experience for live music performances is heavily dependent on the quality and configuration of the installed sound reinforcement system (PA). While capable of delivering impactful sound, the natural acoustics of the space necessitate meticulous sound engineering to achieve clarity and avoid excessive reverberation, particularly during unamplified segments or when not fully occupied.
