Its architecture reflects a distinctive Georgian Neoclassical style, notable for its circular exterior which encloses an octagonal main auditorium. This primary performance space features a high, domed ceiling, contributing significantly to its unique aesthetic and acoustic profile. With a capacity typically ranging from 800 for standing concerts to fewer for seated configurations, the hall offers a flexible setup.
The layout comprises a largely flat ground floor, adaptable for standing audiences or varied seating arrangements, encircled by a tiered gallery level providing fixed seating. While the gallery offers elevated sightlines, views from some positions on the ground floor can be partially obstructed by the supporting pillars.
