Constructed in 1972, Palenque Tepabril represents a functionalist approach to arena design, characterized by its distinctive octagonal concrete structure. Primarily conceived as a multi-purpose events space, the hall features a central, raised stage that can be configured for various performances, surrounded by fixed, tiered concrete seating. The auditorium maintains a capacity of approximately 7,500 patrons, with all seats providing a largely unobstructed view towards the central performance area, a common benefit of its arena-style layout. For certain events, the front-most lower tiers can be reconfigured to create a standing pit directly adjacent to the stage, altering the proximity and perspective.
