Musis Arnhem operates within a distinctive architectural complex that blends historical presence with contemporary design. The site centers around the original Musis Sacrum building, an elegant neo-classical structure dating back to 1847. This historic core was significantly expanded and renovated, reopening in 2018 under the vision of van Dongen Koschuch Architects. The new additions include a large, transparent glass facade and a prominent wooden roof structure, creating a modern wing known as Musis Zaal that seamlessly integrates with the older edifice, opening the complex to Musis Park.

The venue houses multiple performance spaces. The primary hall, the Parkzaal, is a versatile auditorium with a capacity of approximately 800 seats in a tiered configuration, or up to 1200 for standing events. Its modern design allows for flexible layouts, accommodating both seated orchestral performances and standing rock concerts. Sightlines in the Parkzaal are generally unhindered due to its contemporary stadium-style raking, though the specific stage setup can always introduce minor variations. The acoustics in this hall, engineered by Level Acoustics & Vibration, are designed for clarity and balance across a diverse program, providing a robust foundation for both amplified and unamplified sound, with amplified events relying heavily on the installed sound reinforcement system.

Complementing the Parkzaal is the more intimate Koepelzaal, housed within the historic building. This hall typically seats around 200, featuring a resonant acoustic environment well-suited for chamber music, smaller ensembles, and spoken word events. The low ceiling and traditional layout contribute to a direct, immersive sound experience within this space.
