Established in 1982, McChuills occupies a traditional public house structure on Glasgow's High Street, with its dedicated live performance area positioned to the rear. The architecture is characteristic of an adapted urban pub venue, leveraging its existing footprint rather than a purpose-built design. The exterior maintains a traditional Glasgow tenement shopfront aesthetic, while the interior transitions from a conventional bar to the distinct music space.
