The venue is exceptionally well-connected, located approximately a 5-minute walk north of Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Exit the station towards the city centre and proceed directly north along Kettwiger Straße; the venue is clearly visible on the right.

Lichtburg Essen is situated centrally within the Essen public transport network. Numerous tram lines (e.g., 101, 103, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109) and bus routes serve the "Hirschlandplatz" stop, which is a 3-minute walk to the venue's rear. The "Essen Hbf" U-Bahn and tram interchange is also within the aforementioned 5-minute walk.

Several multi-storey car parks are available within a 10-minute radius. The "Parkhaus Galeria Kaufhof" (Am Handelshof 9, 45127 Essen) is a 3-minute walk north-east. The "Parkhaus Kennedyplatz" (Am Kennedyplatz 1, 45127 Essen) is approximately a 6-minute walk north-west. Expect standard city centre parking fees; advance booking is generally not required but can be advisable for peak weekend events to guarantee space.
