INFECAR, the Institución Ferial de Canarias, is a large-scale exhibition and conference complex located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Established in 1966, the facility has undergone continuous adaptation, resulting in its present-day configuration of expansive, functionalist halls constructed primarily from concrete, steel, and glass. The primary event spaces, such as Pavilion 7 and the Canary Islands Congress Centre, offer adaptable, flat-floor configurations designed to accommodate a diverse range of exhibitions, trade shows, and large-scale public gatherings. Capacities are highly flexible, varying from several hundred for seated conferences to several thousand for standing-room events.

Architecturally, the complex prioritizes utilitarian function over ornate design, featuring wide corridors and high ceilings characteristic of modern convention centres. Sightlines within the main halls are generally unobstructed due to the open-plan layout, although event-specific stage placements and crowd density can influence visibility. Acoustically, the inherent nature of these vast, hard-surfaced spaces dictates a significant reliance on high-quality, event-specific public address systems. Without professional sound engineering and precise equipment calibration, natural reverberation can significantly impact audio clarity and consistency across the voluminous spaces.

Inside, foyer areas provide access to temporary bar and concession stands, varying in availability and offering based on the specific event.
