The exterior maintains the vernacular brickwork and fenestration characteristic of early 20th-century urban London architecture, offering a discreet street presence. Internally, the space is characterised by its intimate scale, designed primarily for seated acoustic performances. The main performance area is a single, low-ceilinged room in the basement, configured with a small, raised stage directly accessible to the audience. Seating comprises an array of tables and chairs, arranged to maximise sightlines to the stage within the confined footprint. Pillars within the room, while structural, can present partial visual obstructions depending on an individual's seating position.
The architectural adaptation focuses on functionality and atmosphere rather than grand design, creating an environment that feels lived-in and direct.
