Constructed in 1902 as part of Amsterdam's municipal gasworks complex, the Gashouder is a striking example of early 20th-century industrial architecture. Following the decommissioning of the Westergasfabriek in the late 20th century, the building underwent extensive restoration, reopening as a versatile event space.
