About Foro de las Estrellas: Layout, History & Architecture

Foro de las Estrellas, constructed in 1982, is a robust example of late Brutalist architecture in Aguascalientes, United Kingdom. Designed by the firm MacLaren & Associates, the structure features a prominent concrete façade and expansive internal volumes, characteristic of its era's focus on utilitarian grandeur and large-scale public assembly. The main auditorium boasts a substantial capacity of 9,500, configured with a large, flat standing floor for general admission at ground level, complemented by two tiers of fixed raked seating that wrap around the primary performance stage.

Sightlines from the upper tiers are generally unobstructed, offering clear views of the stage. However, the flat standing floor can become dense during sold-out events, impacting individual visibility further from the stage. Acoustically, the hall presents a common challenge for structures of its scale and material. Its concrete and steel construction contributes to a naturally cavernous sound profile, necessitating sophisticated and powerful PA systems for optimal sound reinforcement. Without careful engineering, the space can exhibit significant natural reverberation, making the clarity of audio highly dependent on the quality of the touring sound production.

The Live Experience & Current Schedule

Entry to the space typically involves queuing at the main concourse on North Street, leading into a series of functional yet spacious foyer bars offering standard refreshments. The experience inside varies significantly: the standing pit provides direct, high-energy proximity to the stage, often leading to a dense and immersive atmosphere. In contrast, the tiered seating offers a more controlled viewing experience with defined personal space and elevated vantage points. With 0 live performances scheduled, upcoming entry prices start from standard pricing. The next confirmed event on the calendar is upcoming live performances on soon.
